Danae Equilibria 2017

It was never going to be easy to find an appropriate study field for Danae. Her aptitude tests covered the entire spectrum – from engineering and architecture on the one end of the scale to performing arts on the other.

Every suggestion for an institution or field was met with a very lukewarm response. It got to the point where I was ready to accept that no studying will ensue after matric – at least not immediately. And then, in October 2016, we heard about Equilibria – a finishing school in Potchefstroom. The curriculum covers a wide range of weekly subjects ranging from finance, legal and critical thinking to self defense, fitness, photography and wine tasting. Running parallel to the courses, is practical guidance to arrive at a career choice. For the first time, there was excitement and we applied forthwith. Within a week she had been accepted and the arrangements made.

And so it happened that we delivered her in Potchefstroom in January and got her back in November 2017 … well-rounded, with numerous distinctions and graphic design as a study field and career choice. We're very proud of you - you handled yourself and the year of independence extremely well!

Well worth the investment.

And don't forget that the Kombi was also full...

Marni's Graduation (April 2017)

Better late than never... I will attempt to steadily catch up on all happenings since the start of 2017! 

After four years of studying, it was finally the moment of graduation. There has always been something special about the ceremony for me - from the academic procession stately entering the hall to the graduates in their gowns and caps receiving their degrees and accolades. Of course there is also the long wait through the speeches and other students… but, oh so worth it.

Marni, words fail to describe the feeling when you crossed the stage and accepted your degree. Well done, we're very, very proud of you!
